What happens next?

Well, we are delighted to announce that Rachel will be opening The Beehive on Monday 2nd April at the back of the Wholesome Bee shop.  Rachel has experience in vegetarian cookery and aims to offer good, tasty and nutritious food to take away, including vegan, gluten free and dairy free options.  This is all very exciting and there is a real ‘buzz’ developing as Rachel begins to plan her kitchen and take-away cafe.  Emphasis is on natural, simple food that not only does you good, but tastes good too.

That only poses one, small problem ….. where on earth am i going to do my bookwork and dump all the spare stock, baskets and boxes that seem to multiply every time my back is turned!  Recycle recycle recycle (most of) the waste – that is the easy bit.  Me?  Looks like I’m off into the cellar with my laptop!

SEDBERGH SOAP?

Whilst we have nothing planned right now we thought it might be a nice  to brighten the dull winter months and invite Dorthe, founder of Sedbergh Soap Company, along to give a talk about how and why she started her business from a farm high up in the hills above Sedbergh.

Dorthe herself suffers from eczema and became fed up with creams and promises that said they would help, but didn’t.  Now with over a hundred products on the Sedbergh Soap list, all tested on her own skin, she runs a very successful and classy business which continues to grow year by year.  Nothing nasty, nothing artificial and … well, lets let Dorthe tell us herself when she comes down to see us!  Watch this space for more information.

Nothing planned … yet!

Now that Theresa’s visit is over we have no events or workshops planned for the summer as the shop gets busier.  However, we are open to suggestions if any of you feel you would like to focus on or learn more about any topic or product covered by Wholesome Bee.
